LEVEL UP
Growing up, I was all about the here and now. Yoga and hair oiling? Those sounded like boring chores from the past that had no place in my fast-paced life. My parents would often tell me about the benefits of these practices, but I just couldn't see the point if the effects weren't immediate. To me, life was about quick wins and instant pleasures, not about waiting around for some long-term payoff that I wasn't even sure would come.
But as I've gotten older, my outlook has started to change. I've begun to realize that some things do take time to show their worth. That yoga class I used to dodge? It's now the highlight of my week, helping me find a sense of peace and balance I didn't know I was missing. And regularly oiling my hair, a habit I once thought of as a needless hassle, has made it healthier than ever. This shift wasn't sudden; it took years for me to appreciate the value of patience and persistence in achieving lasting results.
Despite this shift in perspective, I don’t think I’d go back and tell my younger self to do things differently. I needed to experience life in my own way, making mistakes and learning from them. This journey taught me the importance of balance—between seeking immediate satisfaction and investing in the future. So, would I change my past choices, knowing what I know now? Probably not. Even though I've learned to see the value in the long-term, the experiences I've had, the lessons I've learned, and the person I've become are all part of who I am. As I move forward, I’ll carry both my past impatience and my newfound appreciation for patience with me, using them to navigate the next chapters of my life.
BRAINFEED & SHAREABLES
ICYMI – Robert Downey Jr. swaps his superhero suit for an entrepreneur's cap, launching "Happy" coffee with Craig Dubitsky. The pair are offering everything from instant coffee to whole beans, all kick-started with a touch of Downey's humor, describing coffee as "magical, consistent, and legal." With an eye on sustainability, "Happy" collaborates with farmers in Central and South America for responsibly sourced beans, and it brings a unique twist to the coffee scene with flavors like “toasted biscotti and levity.” Beyond just brewing coffee, Downey Jr. and "Happy" are stirring up support for mental health by partnering with the National Alliance on Mental Illness, making this venture about more than just caffeine.
ICYMI – Is it just me, or in the past few years, April fools has not been a thing? This year, I was so impressed with with all of the April fools campaigns.

⚠️Earthquake ???⚠️4.8 magnitude is pretty strong for somewhere that supposedly doesn’t get earthquakes. What amazes me even more is how quick people are to make memes.

HER HUSTLE & COFFEE
I love finding new coffee shops and meeting other female founders, so I started a series to share stories of female entrepreneurs at coffee shops around New York City.
Mansi Vohra, is the founder of Crave Active, a sustainable, good-for-your-body activewear brand.
Check out the full video interview here, or highlights from our conversation below.
Tell me about why you started this and why is it important to you.
We pay so much attention to our skincare, our diet, but we forget about the clothes that go on our bodies. In a lot of clothes and specifically activewear, there’s a lot of chemicals that can be released overtime that can be harmful to your body.
How did you come up with the name Crave Active?
One of the books that inspired me the most was Atomic Habits by James Clear. He breaks down how to build a routine into four different parts. It’s Cue, Craving, Response, and Reward. What really stuck with me is the craving. The fire in the belly that you want something more or that you want something better for yourself.
